Y on the Fly Backpack and School Supply Drive
Now through August 3, help us prepare students for a successful school year!
We're proud to serve as a donation site for the annual Y on the Fly Backpack and School Supply Drive, running now through August 3. This initiative helps equip local students with the tools they need to start the school year strong.
Join us in supporting our third annual Backpack and School Supply Drive, organized by Y on the Fly, the drive collects backpacks and school supplies for students in grades K–8. Donations will be distributed during their Back-to-School Week and at their free End of Summer Celebration.
How to Participate
1. Choose a Backpack Tag (optional but helpful!)
Look for the paper backpack tags displayed on the pool windows at the Y. Each tag is labeled by grade level:

K–2nd Grade

3rd–5th Grade

6th–8th Grade
Tags also note if the donation is for a boy or girl, though backpack colors are not gender-specific. You’re welcome to take a tag to help guide your shopping.
2. Donate Supplies

All items must be new and unused.

You’re not limited to a specific list, donate what you feel inspired to give!

Backpacks and supplies can be dropped off at the YMCA or shipped directly to us.
3. Donation Bins
Donation bins are located inside our Lobby area, and will be regularly checked to avoid overflow.
