Girls on the Run of Champaign County 

Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-5th grade. Teams of 8-15 girls learn life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. The season culminates with a noncompetitive, celebratory 5K event scheduled for Sunday, November 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at the Stephens Family YMCA. 

Program Fees

Cost per girl is $125. A limited number of financial need-based scholarships are available. 

Online registration opens August 1st at 8 a.m. Girls are registered on a first come first serve basis. The program begins September 4th and ends the week of November 5th. A link to the registration site can found at Paper registration is also available.
