YMCA Financial Assistance
The Y is a 501(c)3 non-profit and is one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the world. Every day, the Stephens Family YMCA offers quality, affordable programs and services designed to benefit people of all incomes and backgrounds. The Y is an essential part of our community and it belongs to everyone regardless of income, which is why we offer financial assistance to qualifying individuals and families who cannot afford membership.
Each year the Stephens Family YMCA provides more than $250,000 in scholarships locally. These funds are raised through donations made to our Annual Campaign and through special events and grants.
Eligible applicants designate awarded financial assistance, towards membership dues or program fees based on a sliding fee scale using the number of household members. We also consider extenuating circumstances when providing assistance so please include any and all information you feel is applicable to your current situation.
Recipients are expected to be responsible for a percentage of their program and membership fees. Qualification for financial assistance is reviewed every year.
