- How do people with walkers or wheelchairs use the water slide?
You may notice that we have an elevator with front and rear doors. There is nothing special about it–it’s just a regular service elevator. What makes it special, though, is that it provides equal access to our water slide. While this may seem like a very practical solution, you will likely be surprised to learn that (to our knowledge) this is the only full-access water slide in the entire United States.

A membership provides full access to The Stephens Family YMCAof Champaign County. This means more value and flexibility for our members! For example, you can work out in the 9,000 square foot fitness center and then take your family to the indoor pool and water slide. Or, you can take advantage of some of our two facilities' specialized programs, like water aerobics or recreational gymnastics.

Personal Information Security
The Stephens Family YMCA is committed to providing the highest level of security to members. Personal information, payment information and other data transmitted through our system are encrypted using 128-bit SSL encryption technology. Security procedures are tested and reviewed on a regular basis.
I am an adult over 18 years of age and wish to participate in Stephens Family YMCA membership / program activities. IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to utilize the facilities, services and programs of the YMCA for any purpose, including, but not limited to observation or use of facilities or equipment, or participation in any off-site program affiliated with the YMCA, the undersigned, for himself or herself and any personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin, hereby acknowledges, agrees and represents that he or she has, or immediately upon entering or participating inspected and carefully considered such premises and facilities or the affiliated program. In addition, I give my children permission to participate in Stephens Family YMCA activities. I understand that even when every reasonable precaution is taken, accidents can sometimes happen. Therefore, in exchange for allowing me to participate in YMCA activities, I understand and expressly acknowledge that I, for myself, or anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the YMCA, sponsors, representatives, and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in activities at or sponsored by the YMCA. I further agree to indemnify and save harmless the YMCA from any claims or demands arising out of any such injuries or losses. I understand that this release includes any claims based on negligence, action or inaction of the Stephens Family YMCA, its staff, directors, members and guests. I have read, understand, and am voluntarily signing this authorization and release.
I understand that the Stephens Family YMCA is not responsible for personal property lost, damaged, or stolen while members and / or program participants are using YMCA facilities, on YMCA premises, or involved in YMCA programs.
I give my permission to the Stephens Family YMCA to use limitation and obligation, photographs, film footage, or tape recordings which may include my image or voice for the purposes of promotion or interpreting YMCA programs.
YMCA membership is a continuous membership plan. I understand that this membership will remain in effect for as long as I retain the membership card issued to me. I further understand that membership dues are non-refundable. Membership cards are the property of the YMCA and must be surrendered upon demand.
It is my complete understanding that if I wish to terminate or change my membership in any way, I must give the YMCA a written notice to stop my draft before the 14th of the month. All membership rates are subject to change with 30 days written notice. I understand it is my responsibility to notify the YMCA of any change in address, bank account information (if utilizing bank draft for payment of dues) or credit card information / expiration date (if utilizing credit card for payment of dues). The joining fee is a one-time fee as long as I remain an active member of the Stephens Family YMCA. If I choose to cancel or discontinue my membership for more than 30 days, a joining fee will be charged when I reapply for membership. I understand that the YMCA has the sole authority to terminate any membership with or without notice to ensure the safety and comfort of the general membership. The YMCA reserves the right to review any membership application and deny membership to any member who may pose a potential threat to the security and/or safety of other members. I further understand that YMCA management has the authority to amend policies and procedures at any time to ensure the delivery of the highest possible services to the general membership. I acknowledge the waiver and membership agreement set forth above, and understanding the Mission Statement of the Stephens Family YMCA, hereby apply for membership.
Credit Card Authorization
I authorize my bank or credit card institution to honor pre-authorized Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) drawn by the Stephens Family YMCA on my account for (membership/program/contribution) payments as indicated. When the bank honors the credit card by charging my account, such transfer shall constitute notice of payment due and my receipt for the payment. Should any pre-authorized EFT not be honored by said bank when received by them, then it is understood that the payment is to be made by me in the amount of said payment plus service charge. It is further understood that if such payment is not honored by the credit card institution, then the YMCA, at its discretion, may resubmit the amount due for payment on a future date. After 2 returned charges, your account will be deactivated immediately with the pending balance. This balance must be paid before rejoining.

1 Adult and 2 Adult memberships DO NOT include children, you must have a Single Parent Family, Household or Youth membership. Please note children over 18 must be a full time college student to be included on Single Parent or Household memberships. Full Time Student status verification must be submitted to member services desk.
All new memberships are assessed a one-time $90 initial joining fee.
